I’m an indie author from Australia. I write speculative fiction about strange futures, hidden worlds, extraordinary endurance and what it means to be human.
I love writing and always have. As a kid, I jotted down story ideas in the playground, then coded them into hieroglyphs so no-one else could steal them.
My outlook on writing has changed a lot since then. Now that I’m older, and have seen more of the world and its people, I better appreciate the vital spark fiction can impart. Fiction transports, it instructs, it uplifts. It’s a beautiful craft and a wonderful respite.
These days, I’d much rather give my writing away for free—or a pittance—than encrypt and hide it. I make some money here in the land down under writing non-fiction from time to time, and I have a full time career, too many hobbies, and a young family. But I will always give time to fiction. Because it’s who I am.
